A sequel to Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther (2018), Wakanda Forever has been praised by all for its performances and storyline. Ever since its release on November 11, Black Panther Wakanda Forever has been giving impressive numbers at the box office worldwide. The superhero movie has also surpassed biggies like The Amazing Spider-Man and The Batman.

Black Panther Wakanda Forever had a good start at the box office on November 11. On Day 1, the film collected Rs 15.05 crore in India itself. On its first weekend in the Indian theatres, the film minted even better numbers as it crossed the Rs 50-crore mark. The Ryan Coogler-directorial has already taken over the run of Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam. Not only that, it has also surpassed the lifetime of The Batman’s Rs 48.10 crore and The Amazing Spider-Man’s Rs 48.25 crore, according to reports. It will soon surpass Godzilla vs Kong, Aladdin and Iron Man 3
Meanwhile, The Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has minted more than $330 million (Rs 2700 crore) worldwide. The Marvel sequel earned $180 million in ticket sales from more than 4,396 theaters in the U.S. and Canada, according to estimates from The Walt Disney Co. Hence, it had the second-biggest opening of the year behind Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
In the US, Black Panther ranked as the No. 13 movie debut of all time. “One of the top 15 openings of all time tells me the box office is pretty healthy when there is something audiences what to see,” said Jeff Bock, senior media analyst at Exhibitor Relations Co. “Marvel time and time again offers something audiences want to see.”
