JioPhone Prima 4G

Reliance Jio announced the JioPhone Prima 4G, a new mobile phone for the Indian market, during today’s Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) event. Despite having a standard feature phone appearance, it can run a lot of well-known apps, like WhatsApp and YouTube.

Support for 23 languages, an 1800mAh battery, and 4G connectivity are some of the Prima 4G’s primary features. Its sleek, rounded form has a 1.55cm thick Jio logo surrounded by concentric rings on the back panel.

An ARM Cortex A53 CPU with 128GB of expandable storage powers the JioPhone Prima 4G. It has a 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio capabilities. It has Bluetooth 5.0 and a single SIM card. It runs KaiOS. KaiOS is a mobile operating system specifically made for smart feature phones, for those who are not familiar with it. It is built around the open-source Firefox OS project and supports more than 1200 apps, such as Google Maps, Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp.

Numerous pre-loaded apps, such as YouTube, JioTV, Jio Cinema, JioSaavn, JioNews, etc., are included with the JioPhone Prima 4G.

Pricing & availability

The JioPhone Prima 4G is priced at Rs 2,599 and is available in blue and yellow variants on JioMart. Launch offers include cashback deals, bank offers, and coupons.
