Samsung ‘Three-Fold’ Smartphone
Samsung ‘Three-Fold’ Smartphone: When Samsung released its pilot line of foldable touchscreen devices, many people said that it would never take off. Now, virtually every company is working on a similar foldable and flip smartphone. To take things a step further, Samsung appears to be working on a “three-fold” foldable smartphone that could be released later this year.
A three-fold smartphone is coming.
According to a a tech blogger, the new device-of-its-kind could appear as early as this year instead of the Galaxy S23 FE that everyone has been expecting. This was going to happen eventually, given how Samsung has already showcased an OLED screen with two hinges that can be folded three times and now it seems that the South Korean company is ready for mass production of the three-fold device.
Rumours suggest that the new smartphone could come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the one we’ve seen on the recent Samsung S23 line-up.
Various reports claimed that Samsung was launching three smartphones later this year – the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and the Galaxy S23 FE. However, it now seems unlikely that an FE version would come this year. Instead, the new foldable could have replaced the device.
While that’s all we know about the device so far. Meanwhile, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 could come with a new drop-shaped hinge – hoping to increase the radius of folding. In addition, the crease could be less visible on this year’s line-up in addition to be fully flattenable.
