Asus ROG Phone 7: Asus has officially confirmed that its next gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone 7, will be unveiled on April 13 in India, the US, and Taiwan. The upcoming Asus ROG Phone 7 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and is likely to arrive in at least two variants – the ROG Phone 7 and the ROG Phone 7 Ultra.

While both variants of the ROG Phone 7 might make use of the same flagship chip from Qualcomm, the ROG Phone 7 Ultra is expected to offer additional features and technologies like a secondary display and a unique design. The device is speculated to feature an improved cooling solution, enabling the smartphone to offer peak performance for an extended period while gaming, especially when compared to other phones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, resulting in improved single-core and multi-core CPU and GPU performance.

Just like the ROG Phone 6, the ROG Phone 7 is said to feature a 165Hz AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution, possibly with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection at the back and front. As per the leaks, the phone is likely to house a 6000 mAh battery, again identical to its predecessor, with support for up to 65W fast charging along with support for external accessories for cooling and styling.

In terms of pricing, the ROG Phone 7 could cost a bit more than the ROG Phone 6. Considering the prices of other Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC-powered phones, the ROG Phone 7 could be priced at around Rs 70,000 for the base model, while the ROG Phone 7 Ultra could easily be the most expensive phone that Asus has ever launched.
