Pixel 7a: Google hosted its annual mega event, the Google I/O, on May 10 and fans across the world tuned in to watch the live stream. During the event, the tech giant launched its much-awaited mid-range phone, the Pixel 7a. The phone features an elegant design and is powered by Google’s in-house processor, the Google Tensor G2.

After a super hyped global launch, the phone is now available in India on Flipkart. Here is all you need to know about Google Pixel 7 and how you can get your hands on the device with the best deals possible.

Google Pixel 7a launched in India: Price, discounts and availability

The Google Pixel 7a is available on Flipkart and is priced at Rs 43,999. The phone has only one variant, the one with 8GB LpDDR5 RAM and 128 GB storage. It is available in three colours – Charcoal, Sea and Snow. The phone has been launched for the same price as its predecessor, the Google Pixel 6a.

However, by taking advantage of various bank offers, the price of Google Pixel 7a can be brought down further. The phone can be yours for an effective price of Rs 39,999 as at present, there is a special discount on HDFC Bank cards.

Also, if you have an old phone that you can give up for exchange, the price of Google’s latest phone can come even further down. The maximum value that you can get for your old phone is Rs 32,000. However, to fetch such a high exchange value, the phone should be one of the latest models and must be in excellent working condition.

Google Pixel 7a: Top specs

The Google Pixel 7a features a 6.1-inch display with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and is made from recycled aluminium, glass and plastic.

The phone, as mentioned already, is powered by the Google Tensor G2 chip to take the users’ experience up a notch. The company claims that the phone’s battery will last easily for a day with adaptive battery mode. Users can also turn on the Extreme Battery Saver mode and the battery can last up to 72 hours, as per the company. The Pixel 7a also supports wireless charging.

Coming to the phone’s design, it borrows heavily from the Google Pixel 7 and features a smooth back panel and a metal frame. A camera bar sits atop the back panel and houses the 64-megapixel primary rear camera and 13-megapixel ultrawide camera. The camera comes with many features like Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser, Night Sight, Long Exposure, Real Tone, Face Unblur, and Panorama, among others. It also supports 4K video recording at up to 60 FPS.

Talking about the phone’s software, it runs on Android 13 out of the box and users will get security updates for the next three years.
