Kymco KRV200

Kymco KRV200 scooter: Kymco is one of the biggest manufacturers of two-wheelers in the world with a major chunk of its sales in the European market. Now, to gain more traction in the small scooter capacity, the Taiwanese brand unveiled the KRV200.

With a fairly accessible seat height of 800mm, the Kymco KRV200 comes with an aggressive design too. The full-LED lamps at the front in split-style accentuate the scooters look while the cuts and creases in the rear section of its bodywork make for a sharp appeal overall. The scooter also gets a neatly done upward swept exhaust that makes the KRV200 look fast standing still.

That said, powering the scooter is a 175cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine that churns out17bhp and 15.6Nm. A claimed top-speed of 107kmph and a fuel-efficiency of 33kmpl is what the spec sheet specifies. On the other hand, the hardware on the KRV200 is decent too. It comes with dis brakes at both ends with ABS for extra safety. Meanwhile, telescopic forks up front and a single shock at the rear make up for damping.

As for features, the Kymco KRV200 comes with a traction control system, LCD instrument cluster as well as keyless ignition and a USB charging socket. Now the Kymco KRV200 is unlikely to make its debut here in India although if you wish to buy a maxi-scooter there are the Aprilia SXR160, Suzuki Burgman Street and Yamaha Aerox 155 on offer in the country.
