iQOO Z9 India launch imminent, receives BIS certification

As iQOO is gearing up to launch the iQOO Neo 9 Pro in India in a few days, the company appears to be working on a couple of other products as well. One among them is the iQOO Z9, which will arrive as a successor to the iQOO Z8. Now, folks at MySmartPrice have spotted the iQOO Z9 5G on the BIS certification. Check out the details.

iQOO Z9 5G receives BIS Certification

• The upcoming iQOO phone has received the BIS certification with the model number I2302, as spotted by MySmartPrice.

• The listing confirms the phone will be launched in India at some point.
• As said, the iQOO Z9 will succeed the iQOO Z8, which was limited to China and never made it to India.

The iQOO Z9 was earlier spotted on the Bluetooth SIG listing and this confirms Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and 5G network support. Tipster DigitalChatStation shared the alleged specifications of the Z9 5G China variant.

The handset is expected to come with a 1.5K OLED display, which is an upgrade over the IPS LCD panel on the  Z8. The  Z9 could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. In contrast, tipster Smart Pikachu claims the phone will come with MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset.

DCS also suggests the Z9 5G could come with a 6,000mAh battery. We should learn more details about the phone in the days to come. The alleged  Z9 series renders have surfaced online back in January. This showed two large circular and square-rish modules to house dual-camera sensors. The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right edge. We also see curved edges and in Blue colour.
