Chandrayaan-3 launch

The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) has released fresh images of the Chandrayaan-3 mission to the Moon as the space agency continues to work on the integration of the mission with the launch vehicle.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission will launch on the Geosynchronous Launch Vehicle Mark-III, India’s heaviest rocket to the Moon.

Chandrayaan-3 consists of an indigenous Lander Module (LM), a Propulsion Module (PM), and a rover with the objective of developing and demonstrating new technologies required for interplanetary missions.

Isro chief S Somnath has said that they will try to launch the mission between July 12 to July 19 when the orbital dynamics will ensure minimal fuel and higher efficiency in the journey to the Moon.

“The Lander will have the capability to soft land at a specified lunar site and deploy the Rover which will carry out in-situ chemical analysis of the lunar surface during the course of its mobility,” Isro has said.

The Indian Space Agency has released new pictures of the mission. Check them out below.
