  • Realme recently teased the launch of a new smartphone in India. It’s the Realme 12+, a new addition to the brand’s popular number series. Realme has started teasing the phone, and revealed the name as well but it’s yet to announce the launch date. Now, a new tip suggests when the 12+ will arrive in India, and that the Realme 12 will tag along as well.

  • Realme 12 and  12+ are tipped to launch in India on March 6th. This is according to the tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore who says that the launch event is scheduled to start at 12 PM unless there are any last-minute changes by Realme.

Since the brand has started teasing the R 12+, the official announcement is expected to be made soon. 12+ is also confirmed to make its debut first in Malaysia on February 29th.  12+ will be launching alongside the 12 Pro in Malaysia. The latter was launched in India last month. Realme has also started teasing the device revealing its design and colour options. As for the  12, there’s no official mention of it by the brand so it’s not clear whether this phone will also launch in India or not. 12+, on the other hand, has been spotted on multiple certification sites. Its specs have also been leaked giving us an idea of what to expect from the new Realme phone.  12+ specifications (expected)


  • Display: is expected to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display (1800 × 2400 pixels resolution) with a 120Hz refresh rate.
  • Processor:The smartphone will most likely be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor.
  • RAM and storage: could come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
  • Cameras:It could house a triple-camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony LYT-600 shooter with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, it will most likely sport a 16MP front camera.
  • Battery, charging: is also said to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging support.
  • Software:The smartphone will most likely run Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 out-of-the-box.

Realme 12 Pro series launched in India last month and included the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+. However, that won’t be the last in the series as we came across rumours and online listings regarding the  12+ 5G, which is set to launch in Malaysia later this month. Now, Realme India has officially teased the arrival of a new phone and the tagline reads, “One More Plus. The ultimate value mid-ranger.” The handset in question could be the 12+.

  • Without revealing much about the design and the hardware, Realme India has teased the arrival of a new phone.
  • There is a dedicated micrositeon the Realme website and the teaser images show a green colour hue.
  • The website shows a  12 Pro-like leather finish, with a vertical strap in the middle
  • The handset in question could be the 12+ 5G as the teaser image stresses the number ’12’ and says “One More Plus”.
  • The company is also saying the phone will feature ’12 upgrades unseen in the smartphone industry history.’
  • This teaser and official listing on the website comes after the brand confirmed the 12+ and 12 Pro+ 5G will launch in Malaysia on February 29th
