iQOO Neo 9 Pro camera hands-on: 50MP Sony IMX920 primary, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and more

• The iQOO Neo 9 Pro has a 50MP Sony IMX920 camera with f/1.88 aperture, OIS and LED flash at the back. This is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies, you get a 16MP front camera on the iQOO phone.

iQOO says the 50MP primary camera is a ‘Night Vision’ camera highlighting its low-light capabilities. The smartphone’s 50MP Sony IMX920 camera is also great for daylight shots. An example of this can be seen in the camera sample above and below. We also took some close-up shots and tried out the portrait mode on the iQOO Neo 9 Pro. As you can see in the sample below, the background blur effect is pretty good as is the edge detection. The close-up image of the food also shows crisp detailing and colour reproduction. Our brief experience with the iQOO Neo 9 Pro shows that the smartphone offers promising photography capabilities.
