- Three years of teaching experience as a Senior Resident, or Tutor, or Demonstrator, or Registrar in the concerned Speciality in a DCI/ MCI recognized teaching institution after obtaining the Post-graduate degree OR
- Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed./ M.A. Education with B.Ed.) with educational technology as an elective subject or postgraduate diploma in educational technology.
- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET).
- The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/ institution with a ranking among the top 500 in the World University Ranking.

- A Master‘s Degree or an equivalent.
- A minimum of eight years of experience in teaching and/ or research. OR

- The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/ institution with a ranking among the top 500 in the World University Ranking. OR
- M.Ed. Degree in a specific disability area OR an equivalent degree from a foreign university recognized by RCI.
