Oppo Reno 10

The launch of the Oppo Reno 10 series has been confirmed by the company. Oppo has also revealed some of the key specifications of the upcoming Reno 10 Pro models. The brand is boasting about the camera prowess of its next premium 5G phones that will be available in India via Flipkart. The e-commerce platform has also posted the listing for the launch of the Oppo Reno 10 series. But, the official launch date is yet to be revealed. The teasers just say that the new Oppo devices are coming soon. While we have to wait for the date, what we don’t have to wait for is the features. Here is everything you need to know.

Oppo Reno 10 Pro series: Key specs confirmed

One of the key selling points of the new Oppo Reno 10 Pro phones is its telephoto rear camera. Oppo has confirmed that its latest Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ smartphone will come with a new periscope lens with support for a 3x optical zoom. The company is boasting that its new offering can “deliver beautifully-proportioned portraits with a soft bokeh background. It even compresses distant elements in a scene—like monuments, buildings, and mountains—to bring them closer to your portrait subject for more dramatic snapshots.”

The Reno Pro+ features a new periscope design, so the stacked lens and the sensor are turned sideways to avoid offering a very thick camera bump at the back panel. The company says this device has a periscope module that is 0.96mm thinner than other devices.

Both the Reno 10 Pro and Pro+ pack the same cameras at the back. The rear camera setup includes a 64-megapixel telephoto camera, which Oppo says is the highest megapixel telephoto portrait camera in the industry, backed by a 1/2-inch image sensor to let you snap portraits with up to 3x optical zoom. This sensor even has support for OIS and one also gets 120x hybrid zoom.

There is also a 50-megapixel primary camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor and a 1/1.56-inch ultra-large sensor size for high light intake. It also supports OIS and all-pixel omnidirectional focus for added stability and clarity. The back camera setup also includes an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensor, which is a 112-degree ultra-wide-angle camera with a 1/4-inch sensor. Additionally, the Reno 10 Pro+ comes with camera algorithms that kick in for 4K videos to fuse two frames of long- and short-exposure image information in real-time to widen the original dynamic range four times. On the front, one will see a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor with AF for selfies and precise facial recognition even in low light. It is backed by a 1/2.47-inch sensor and a 90-degree FOV for wider selfies.

Additionally, the Reno 10 Pro+ is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which has powered several flagship phones in the recent past. Also, if we go by the teasers published on Flipkart, the new Oppo Reno 10 series will feature a slim profile and a curved display with a punch-hole design. It will be available in India in two different colours. The rest of the details are still unknown.
