OPPO Reno 12 series’ alleged specs have been revealed in a massive leak. This spills pretty much everything about the phones including the MediaTek processor names and camera configuration. However, these details veer from a previous tip that suggested Snapdragon chips and an improved periscope zoom capability. Here’s what we mean.

OPPO Reno 12 series specifications (leaked) 

• Processor:As per an internal document leak discovered by com, the Reno 12 could be powered by a yet-to-be-revealed MediaTek MTK 24M chip and the Reno 12 Pro could be wielding a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC.Meanwhile, DigitalChatStation had tipped recently that the Reno 12 series could bring Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-series chips. OPPO could be planning different variants for different markets.
• Cameras: Both phones could be sporting a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP with 2x optical zoom and an 8MP third camera, supposedly an ultrawide clicker.The leak doesn’t disclose anything about an improved periscope zoom lens though as the DCS tip had suggested.

  Also, both phones could have a 50MP front camera with autofocus support.

• Display and design: The Reno 12 series could flaunt a 6.7-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. As for design, they could have a curved glass back and IP65 dust and water resistance rating.
• Memory: The regular Reno 12 is likely to come in just a 12GB RAM+ 256GB storage variant while the Pro model could ship in a 512GB model too.
• Battery: Under the hood, both could be carrying a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging capability.

The same source suggests the Reno 12 series could launch in June 2024 with a price tag of about $499 (~ Rs 41,377.08) for the standard Reno 12 and $799 (~ Rs 66,253.08) for the Pro model.

OPPO Reno 11 series launched in India a few days ago as a successor to the Reno 10 lineup. The new generation introduced camera upgrades and slightly improved hardware. It looks like the company is working on bringing a successor, dubbed the OPPO Reno 12. There are early leaks on the upcoming OPPO Reno phones, and here’s what they reveal.

OPPO Reno 12 series camera details leaked

• The latest leak comes from tipster DigitalChatStation who shared details on the OPPO Reno 12 on Weibo.
• The tipster suggeststhe OPPO Reno 12 might come with improved periscope telephoto sensors. This could be a new sensor with a higher optical zoom.

• OPPO currently uses a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom on the Reno 11 series of smartphones.
• According to DCS, the OPPO Reno 12 series phone will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series sub-platform chipset.
• The post appears to be hinting that the phones could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
• We might see a lot of mid-range phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in 2024. iQOO Neo 9 Pro (launching in India on February 22nd) and OnePlus Ace 3.

OPPO Reno 10 series was launched in May 2023 in China, followed by Reno 11 lineup in November. There are good chances the Reno 12 series could debut around May 2024.
