The Alpine A110 R

The Alpine A110 R:Some changes have been made to the mid-engine car with Renault power, but it’s still not the most expensive.
Alpine A110 R: Ever since Renault brought back the Alpine, there has only been the A110. Since it first came out almost seven years ago, the mid-engine car has gone through a lot of changes. There’s another new taste. The A110 R Turini is a less expensive but still pricey option to the R, which is the top of the line. One doesn’t have carbon fiber wheels, while the other does.

It has 18-inch metal wheels that look matte black instead of the lighter wheels that came with the old A110 R Turini. It’s still not a deal, though, even with this drop. The newest model costs from €106,000, which is about $114,000 at the moment, in its home country of France. If you want the full-fat R model, it costs an unbelievable €112,000, which is almost $121,000.

The A110 R’s 1.8-liter gasoline engine is still there, cranked up to 300 horsepower and 250 pound-feet (340 Newton-meters) of torque. The engine is the same turbocharged four-cylinder unit that was in the Renault Megane RS hot hatch, which is no longer made. However, it is placed behind the seats. The rear-wheel-drive machine weighs about the same as a Miata RF, but that much power isn’t amazing, especially considering how much it costs.

The top-of-the-line A110 R weighs 2,385 pounds (1,082 kg) and has carbon fiber wheels that are 75 pounds (34 kg) lighter than aluminum wheels. It has the same carbon front hood, engine cover, front blade, rear wing, and diffuser as the “real” R.

Getting behind the wheel of an A110 doesn’t have to cost six figures. For the base model, prices start at €65,000 ($70,000). The GT costs €76,000 ($82,000), and the S costs €77,500 ($84,000). Prices keep going up, but desire has never been this high. It looks like 2023 will be an even better year than 2022, which was a record year. Because there are so many more orders than ever, the plant in Dieppe is already full.

There is a small chance that the lightweight sports car will one day come to the US. To sell the A110 in the US, Renault is in talks with AutoNation, which is the biggest group of car dealers in the country. If the deal falls through, Luca de Meo, the CEO of Renault, said the company has other options to make it happen.

Since then, spy photos have shown that Alpine is working on an even hotter version called the R. A prototype that was seen at the Nürburgring had a crazy aerodynamic package, along with probably some other improvements.
