AI features are one trend every smartphone brand is hopping on, and the latest to do so is OnePlus. Google’s Pixel phones are baked with AI, and Samsung also recently joined the trend with the Galaxy S24 series. Now Apple is also preparing to introduce generative AI features with iOS 18.

OnePlus has rolled out a new update that comes with a bunch of new AI features. The software update is available only in China for now, and only for the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 11.

OnePlus 12, OnePlus 11 get AI features

The latest software update is the version PHB110_14.0.0.403(CN01), and it’s currently available only for users in China. The AI features that the new update brings were shared by Mishaal Rahman on X. We’re expecting OnePlus to roll out the latest software update to global markets including India.

Here’s a look at all the new AI features that have been rolled out for the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 11.

New AI features for OnePlus 12, OnePlus 11

• The new update brings ‘AI Summariser’ that will be able to generate call summaries by pulling key details like the time, place, and action items from your phone calls.
• Similar to Google’s Magic Eraser, OnePlus has ‘AIGC Remover’ that will let you remove unwanted objects or people from photos.
• The new update also uses AI to summarise articles with just one tap through key information extraction.
• Breeno Touch is also upgraded with this update for OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 12. This feature recognises onscreen content, and provides quick access to relevant services.

Other than the AI features, the latest OnePlus update also adds a new “device motion & orientation” permission. After this update, you’ll be able to use fingerprint unlock without waking up the screen, and show the screen recording indicator in either a floating window or in the status bar. Key Specs

OnePlus 12 goes on sale in India for the first time. The handset debuted in the country last week alongside the OnePlus 12R and ships with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, QHD+ OLED LTPO ProXDR display, and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging support. The OnePlus 12 will succeed the OnePlus 11 and brings some notable improvements.

• OnePlus 12 is priced at Rs 64,999 for the 12GB/256GB model and Rs 69,999 for the 16GB/512GB variant.
