The Vivo V30 series has been officially teased by the company. There is a dedicated microsite live on the company’s global Philippines website and this has a silhouette and we get a brief idea of the front and rear design. The microsite notes the ‘Vivo V30 series’, which suggests there will be two models like the predecessor, including the Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro. The design on the microsite is similar to the one which leaked recently.

No specifications are revealed through the website at the moment but it mentions the Vivo V30 series will offer “flagship performance”. The series boasts of smart photography features that can handle both daily photos and professional clicking. The website also notes there will be ample storage space to ensure a large amount of content can be saved. The chipset is claimed offer superior performance and can handle day-to-day tasks.

Vivo V30: what we know so far

The standard Vivo V30 has appeared on Geekbench and has managed to score 4,167 points in the Vulkan test. The phone is expected to come with Android 14 OS and an Adreno 720 GPU. Vivo V30 series is speculated to be a rebrand of the Vivo S18 lineup, which launched in China a while ago. If true, the specifications could be as follows:

  • Display: 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2800×1260 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+, and up to 2800 nits peak brightness.
  • Processor: The Vivo S18 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC with Adreno 720 GPU. The Pro model ships with a more powerfulMediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset.
  • OS: Android 14-based OriginOS 4.
  • Vivo S18 Cameras: 50MP OmniVision OV50E primary sensor with f/1.88 aperture, OIS, LED flash, an 8MP ultra-wide OmniVision OV08D10 sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
  • Front camera: There is a 50MP front camera with dual soft LED flash for selfies and video chats.

There are speculations that the Vivo S18 lineup which launched in China will be rebranded as the Vivo V30 lineup for global markets. Now, while we wait for the announcement, the Vivo V30 series poster has leaked online and this briefly highlights the design.

Vivo V30 series leaked poster reveals design

  • The leakedposter image shows the Vivo V30 series will have a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, narrow bezels around the screen, and curved edges.
  • We can also see a significantly thinner chin below the screen.
  • The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right edge.
  • Moving to the back, you can spot the square module to house the camera sensors and probably an LED flash.
  • Vivo V30 Lite is officially announced and the design doesn’t match with the one in the poster.
  • This means we are looking at the actual Vivo V30 series and not the Vivo V30 Lite.
  • The design of the phone matches with the live images revealed via the NCC certification.

The Vivo V30 has managed to score 4,167 points in the Vulkan test. The listing suggested the phone would come with Android 14 OS and an Adreno 720 GPU.
